This is the best restaurant we’ve eaten in Venice or possibly our whole entire Europe trip thus far!! Our server recommended a pistachio scallop pasta dish that was absolutely divine!!! I do not give 5 stars easily and this is the only place I’ve given it to!! My partner absolutely loves the vongole pasta. We had it before going into Venice island and we just had to have it when leaving as well. The handmade cake was absolutely lovely as well. Very lemony and moist. If you have to go to 1 restaurant in Venice, please come here!! You won’t regret it!! We will definitely be back!!

We did a day trip to Venice and looked for a new restaurant. We found this one, booked a reservation for lunch and set out to find it. We are DELIGHTED to have discovered this little gem! It’s located off the beaten track in a lovely little neighborhood on a canal. A 9 minute walk from the train station! We were very warmly greeted and offered our choice of available table. It appeared there were several locals having lunch there as well. . . always a good sign. We ordered a carafe of house wine which was very nice. We ordered the octopus salad for an appetizer and it was nicely presented and delicious! Hubby was pleased with his seafood spaghetti . . . and the real star of the lunch was my pasta with scallops and pistachio pesto!! OMGosh! It was beyond fabulous! DO try this dish! Both pastas were expertly cooked too. A very nice firmness. We opted for desserts which were fresh and good. The server was extremely nice and took excellent care of us. The restaurant was well appointed and clean and the food was fantastic! We will go back when in town.

It was a fantastic meal, I have spent 4 weeks in italy, and this is a great one to start my 1st day in Venice. Staff members are friendly and welcoming, even make great suggestions. The creamy pistachio scallop pasta was top notch, very creamy, light yet fragrant, the black pasta with spider crab was also bursting with flavours, rich and bright with the red sauce.

The terasse at the back of the restaurant is so nice. The greenery and the lights give a nice ambiance. My mom ate a bowl of mussels and we shared a platter of Tuna (chef recommended) and it was soooo delicious!! I totally recommend and concerning the price, its cheaper than a lot of restaurants in Venice!

TL;DR - Eat here. Great traditional Veneziano (I.e. Venetian) food, great service. After reading previous reviewers, I've realized we're not eating at the same restaurant. The staff was great and helpful. The food was good. Me and my wife stayed for three nights in Venice and came here for dinner twice! The gnocchi was tender and done to perfection. The potato and zucchini skin was still crisp, but the interior cooked to a buttery smoothness. The carbonara was not ham, but back bacon. The penne was perfectly done. The muscles were well prepared and not over cooked, same with the scampi (as a North Florida gulf coast clam farmer, I think I'm qualified to give an expert opinion on that). The tuna was a hair over done, but still smooth and delightful (it's hard to actually nail that temperature). The house prosecco was sharp enough without being dry. The Hugo was expertly done, better than most craft cocktail bars I've visited. Yes, for Italy, the price is a tad high. For an American visiting Italy, the price is shockingly low for the quality.

Our first night we came across this enchanting restaurant with a garden, private outdoor area once inside the restaurant. Unlike others, their outside seating was a wonderful canopied garden. My children had lots of fun. Food was excellent and the sea bass with vegetables given as a suggestion by the staff was fantastic. Highly recommend the place as my family was very happy with our dinner experience. Thanks
